English Wedding

Repeat customers are the best!  I had the pleasure of working with this family several years ago when the bride's sister got married so it was a treat to be a part of Anna's wedding as well.

Personalized chapsticks will be given as wedding favors to the guests so the bride asked that I make this sign that will be placed by the favors.

Anna wanted to be sure to see all of the pictures people took at her reception so they are planning to frame this hash-tag and place it near the entrance so that everyone will tag their fun photos!

Flourishing

This particular bride requested her invitation suite be heavily flourished.  She came prepared with some examples of what she liked (this is always helpful).  Flourishing can be challenging, but I was up for the challenge and excited to work with her to create the perfect invitation for her wedding.

Majors Wedding

I recently had the privilege of working with a bride to create her custom wedding invitation.  She chose a brown ink for the body of the invitation and gold for the cross and the names of the bride and groom.  It is a subtle, but beautiful, contrast.

Response Cards

I get a lot of questions regarding the proper wording for response cards.  There are a number of wording variations, but I've found it best to use the standard format.   You want to encourage people to mail back their response card so making it as easy as possible will hopefully encourage them to sign it, check the appropriate line and stick it in the mail!

If you are having a dessert or buffet style reception and don't require a firm headcount then I recommend using this:

However if you are having a seated dinner or your venue is limited on space, and you have to have a firm number, then I suggest this:

This way if your invitation was addressed to a family of 5 but only 2 will be able to attend the wedding then they can indicate that on the "number attending" line.

And remember..... ALWAYS, ALWAYS send in your response card!  The person who invited you spent extra money and effort to include the response card, and as a host it is extremely helpful to know how many to expect.

If you wanted to take it even a step further you could include an encouraging note to the parents of the bride on your response card!  We all love to get hand written notes in the mail!

Navy Ink

This client selected an ivory envelope with an amazing navy return address.  To compliment the return address she chose a navy ink which gives a subtle and special touch.

Calligraphy Invitations

Over the past few years more and more people are having their invitations written in calligraphy then sent to a printer to have printed.  This is a great way to have a truly unique and special invitation.

Basically the calligrapher writes our whatever you wish to have printed (invitation, reply set, return address, etc.) then a digital file is sent to the invitation company of your choice, and they print the invitations from the digital file.  It's a fairly simple process and most all stationary shops are very familiar working with custom calligraphy art work.

Here are a few reproduction pieces I have done over the past year or so.
